A Spooky, Never Scary Halloween Event near Scranton
The Lakeland Halloween Light Show is a family Halloween event about 20 minutes from Scranton in Scott Township. Hop aboard the Lakeland Express for a 1 mile train ride through dozens of glowing Halloween displays spread across the orchard. It is spooky but never scary, so even the youngest riders can enjoy every minute. The show runs on select nights alongside our Apple Harvest Festival, so you can pick apples by day and ride through the lights by night on the same visit.

Live Music
Local acts bring live entertainment to the Cider Garden Stage during the day throughout the season. Grab a cider, enjoy the music, and settle in for the light show after dark. Live music is included with your pass.
Dozens of Displays
The 1 mile route winds past dozens of lit Halloween displays all around the orchard. Friendly ghosts, glowing pumpkins, and playful scenes line the track, built to delight kids rather than frighten them. It is one of the best photo ops on the farm after dark and a favorite family-friendly activity all fall.
Apple Cider King Slush
Grab an Apple Cider King Slush and other fall treats from the concessions area while you are here. Our signature apple cider donuts and apple dumplings are made fresh daily during the season.
Pick Apples
Orchard is right in our name. One ticket covers the whole day, so spend the afternoon picking your own apples across dozens of varieties, included with admission during Apple Harvest Festival. Check the apple field status before you visit for what is ripe that week. Meet characters, ride the carousel and jumping pillows, then stay as the orchard lights up after dark for the train ride.
Getting Here
Lakeland Orchard is in Scott Township, about 20 minutes from Scranton and an easy drive from across Northeastern Pennsylvania. Guests come from Clarks Summit, Carbondale, and the Poconos, with Wilkes-Barre and Binghamton, New York each about 45 minutes away. New York City and Philadelphia are roughly two hours out, which makes the Halloween Light Show an easy fall evening out for families across the region and one of the most popular fall festivals in the area.
